Around Florence
Why people come to Florence
- The Oregon Dunes — the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in North America starts just south of town. Sandboarding, dune-buggy tours, hiking, photography, sunset walks.
- Restaurants in Old Town — more than two dozen restaurants are within walking distance of the inn, in the historic Old Town / Waterfront District.
- Coastal scenery — beaches, sea stacks, the Heceta Head Lighthouse (perhaps the most photographed lighthouse in America), Sea Lion Caves, and the rugged Pacific coastline are all a short drive away.
- The Siuslaw River — visible right from the front of the inn. Boating, fishing, kayaking, or just watching the bridge at sunset.
