• Communications: recordings and transcripts of phone calls placed to our reservation line, for quality, training, and dispute-resolution purposes. Callers are notified at the start of any recorded call.

• Process and manage your reservation, including check-in, check-out, billing, and any modifications you request.
• Send transactional messages by SMS, email, or phone — for example, booking confirmations, room and door-code information for self-check-in, payment links, and reminders.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to authorized requests from law enforcement or regulators.
• Improve our service and resolve disputes (including disputes with credit-card networks).

SMS / text messaging

If you provide us with a mobile number and request that we send you information by SMS, the following terms apply:

• Frequency: Messages are sent only as needed in connection with your reservation or your direct request (typically 1–5 messages per stay). We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.
• Carrier charges: Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier — not The Lighthouse Inn — sets these rates.
• Opt-out: You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any of our messages. After you reply STOP we will not send you further SMS unless you explicitly opt back in.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message, or call us at (541) 997-3221, for assistance.
• Consent: We send SMS only after you verbally request it during a call with us, or after you supply your number through a booking and check the box authorizing SMS contact.
• Mobile information sharing: We do not share your mobile information or SMS opt-in status with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely for communications related to your stay.

Who we share information with

We share information only as necessary to operate the hotel:

• Cloudbeds (our property management system) — stores reservation and guest records.
• Twilio (our communications provider) — handles voice calls and SMS delivery.
• Stripe (our payment processor) — processes credit-card payments.
• Law enforcement or regulators — when legally required.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep your information

We retain reservation and guest records for as long as needed to provide service, resolve disputes, and meet legal/tax obligations — typically seven years for billing records and shorter periods for marketing-related contact data.

Your rights and choices

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete that information (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Opt out of SMS by replying STOP, or remove yourself from email lists by following unsubscribe instructions in any message.
