October is here and that means Fall Colors, mushrooms and the 5th Annual Chowder Festival that this year includes a Wine Walk on Columbus Day Weekend.

The Oct 10th and 11th event begins from 2pm – 5pm on Saturday with wine tasting at several fabulous shops in Historic Old Town, who will also be serving some lovely finger foods. Stop by Spice Bistro to purchase your glass and pick-up a map showing the participating merchants.

While you are strolling through Old Town, be sure to look for those beautiful glass floats hidden in the stores and restaurants. When you find them, you will be able to enter the drawing to win a glass float plus a grand prize treasure chest filled with valuable merchandise and gift certificates.

Remember there is Too Much To Do In Just One Day in Florence so plan to stay the night with us at the Lighthouse Inn then sample the delectable Clam Chowder on Sunday, from 12pm to 4pm at participating restaurants and at Gazebo Park.
